Make christmas bells at home

Step 1: What You Will Need

• 1 bell shaped styrofoam ball.
• A variety of colored sequins. If you want to make a solid colored bell, you will only need one package of the same colored sequins. If you intend to create a design, or use two main colors, you will need to buy several packages of various colored sequins.
• 1 package of ornament hooks
• 1 red velvet ribbon
• 1 large package of straight sewing pins. They should have a plastic, opal colored head. Make sure there are enough to cover the styrofoam bell.
• 1 medium package of straight pins without the plastic ball on top. These straight pins should have a flat top.
• Additional embellishments of your choosing.

Step 2: Make the Christmas Bell Ornament

1. Decide if you are decorating your bell in a solid color or if you want to create a design. If you opt for a design, decide the pattern you want to follow.
2. Take a straight pin and stick it through one of the sequins and push it into the styrofoam bell.
3. Continue the procedure with the body of the bell, only leaving the very bottom part without sequins. You will be creating your proposed design as you choose which sequins to use and where to push them into the bell.
4. Once you have covered the bell, it is time to decorate the base.
5. Choose a solid color for the base, and using the flat straight pins, stick one through the colored sequin you have chosen and push it into the bottom of the bell.
6. Once you have covered the bottom, cut your red velvet ribbon so that it is about six inches long.
7. Tie the ribbon into a bow.
8. Use a push pin with a ball on top and stick it through the center of the bow, securing it into the very top of the bell.
9. Tie another piece of red velvet ribbon into a loop, and use a push pin to secure the underside of the ribbon's loop into the top of the bell. This loop will be how you hang the ornament.

Step 3: Christmas Bell Variations

1. Turn Christmas bell decorations into ornaments. Buy small Christmas craft bells. Attach a hook ornament hanger to the bell to hang it on the Christmas tree or tie a small, red velvet ribbon into a loop, threading it through the top of the bell to hang it on the tree.
2. For a simple Christmas bell ornament, use red and gold pipe cleaners and mold them into a bell shape. Attach a hook ornament hanger to the top part of the bell and place it on the Christmas tree.
3. Make the above pipe cleaner ornament, but add different colored beads to it.
