Things You'll Need:

* Talented people

1.
Step 1

Act natural. No one likes it when someone tries to weasel their way into a group that's not their own, and that's exactly what you are trying to do. Try bumping into your soon-to-be-talented friend while he or she exits class, or knocking his or her books on the ground when they turn to speak to someone they actually care about. Then make sure to help generously with retrieving them. Do this a couple of times so that your new BFF starts to know your face.
2.
Step 2

Joke around. People who are talented like to be around intelligent, funny people who make them laugh. It is a subtle kind of humor that happens in an instant, without prompting and without reward. The next time they smile hello to you in the hallway and you accidentally trip over the threshold because you're watching them so hard, try rolling your eyes and apologizing to the lump of carpet, "Excuse me, threshold." Then move on without expecting a laugh. Delivery is half the battle; if you don't wait for a laugh, you'll get one.
3.
Step 3

Have something they need. Maybe it's science notes, maybe it's a shiny new lacrosse stick or maybe it's chocolate. All that matters is that you have it and they have to get it from you. It's better if it's smaller so that it can be passed under desks while whispering during a class. That way, this new talented friend of yours will not only get to see that you like the same thing.
