A letter to god
Dear God;
My heart is so heavy, and the burden so strong. I look at the world today, and see so much unwarranted pain and struggle. Religious wars, racial wars, wars just to be warring...murder in the name of someone's god. It's all insanity to me. I don't understand.
Women are taken for granted, their love from within their being...men are destroying their souls until they are no longer human. Men make women baby machines, prostitutes, force them into compromising situations, set them up for failure, hurt them, and lead them into traps unawares. Women are doing the same to men, and nowadays, they are doing it to each other.
Governments are seeking to down play education in the name of socialism for domination and control over people's minds and souls in an attempt to create a caste system. I go to my college, and I see students simply..cheating...and no one calls them on it. Their work is not their own. They make the grade, but know nothing of the subject. They don't use their college money for education, but for other things...and it seems that parents, college officials, and the government is saying..."that's ok." The gov't is slapping its hand together with greed..."Here's another one, Joe!!!" and into a category he goes. All this time, welfare agencies are telling applicants, "Sit back, let the gov't take care of you." This is not the ideal of America. It's communism. America was built on hard work by each American. The gov't helped, but each American worked hard.
I see, and look at what parents do to each other, and what they do to the kids. And when they split up, how they use kids as a tool for their own wants and needs. How the parents divide the children between them. The children literally grow up seeking love and acceptance...looking for a parent...and settle for less than what they were supposed to have.
Lord, innocents are getting hurt because of this. And I know that this is supposed to happen. But do you suppose that you could bring your Light again in the world? Let the people at least have a choice once more, before they are no longer able to understand. Save these souls. And protect us from the Evil One, who only seeks to entrap us with our desires, and to kill us by means of our own weapons. Teach us to love, rather than to pursue riches stepping on the other. Help us to raise our children right, that they may be a future to us. Right now, they're taking welfare...and they're destroying America...and no one seems to care. They're on drugs, stealing, signing on to a job, and expecting to be paid for doing nothing and wondering why they get fired, they commit crimes and blame others or wonder why they got caught...then...do it AGAIN...
Lord, please, before it's too late. Smack some sense into these people today. Save us. Save us from ourselves.

Add a drop of olive oil to a spoon of warm water and mix it well. Apply this on your face as it is a non-greasy moisturizer.
You can also make a face pack with fruits such as over ripe bananas, papayas and a small amount of honey. Mix and mash well and smooth this over your face for excellent results. Follow a regular skin care routine to keep your skin soft, clean and problem free. About once in two months, you should also get an extended version of this procedure - go for a full facial and try to get it professionally done if you can. A Man Should Be Able To:
1. Give advice that matters in one sentence. I got run out of a job I liked once, and while it was happening, a guy stopped me in the hall. Smart guy, but prone to saying too much. I braced myself. I didn't want to hear it. I needed a white knight, and I knew it wasn't him. He just sighed and said: When nobody has your back, you gotta move your back. Then he walked away. Best advice I ever got. One sentence.
2. Tell if someone is lying. Everyone has his theory. Pick one, test it. Choose the tells that work for you. I like these: Liars change the subject quickly. Liars look up and to their right when they speak. Liars use fewer contractions. Liars will sometimes stare straight at you and employ a dead face. Liars never touch their chest or heart except self-consciously. Liars place objects between themselves and you during a conversation.
3. Take a photo. Fill the frame.
4. Score a baseball game. Scoring a game is an exercise in ciphering, creating a shorthand of your very own. In this way, it's a private language as much as a record of the game. The only given is the numbering of the positions and the use of the diamond to express each batter's progress around the bases. I black out the diamond when a run scores. I mark an RBI with a tally mark in the upper-right-hand corner. Each time you score a game, you pick up on new elements to track: pitch count, balls and strikes, foul balls. It doesn't matter that this information is available on the Internet in real time. Scoring a game is about bearing witness, expanding your own ability to observe.

Buy The Way to Cook, by Julia Child. Try roasting. Braising. Broiling. Slow-cooking. Pan searing. Think ragouts, fricassees, stews. All of this will force you to understand the functionality of different cuts. In the end, grilling will be a choice rather than a chore, and your Weber will become a tool rather than a piece of weekend entertainment.
8. Not monopolize the conversation.

So easy. So easily forgotten. A five-paragraph structure works pretty well: Tell why you're writing. Offer details. Ask questions. Give news. Add a specific memory or two. If your handwriting is terrible, type. Always close formally.

Avoid bargains. Know your likes, your dislikes, and what you need it for (work, funerals, court). Squeeze the fabric -- if it bounces back with little or no sign of wrinkling, that means it's good, sturdy material. And tug the buttons gently. When I interviewed for my first job, one of the senior guys had me to his house for a reception. I can still remember that first tight little swallow and my gratitude that I could go back for a refill without looking like a drunk. I came to admire the host over the next decade, but he never gave me the recipe. So I use this:
• For every 750-ml bottle of whiskey (use a decent bourbon or rye), add:
• 6 oz fresh-squeezed, strained lemon juice
• 6 oz simple syrup (mix superfine sugar and water in equal quantities)
To serve: Shake 3 oz per person with ice and strain into chilled cocktail glasses. Garnish with a cherry and an orange slice or, if you're really slick, a float of red wine. (Pour about 1/2 oz slowly into each glass over the back of a spoon; this is called a New York sour, and it's great.)

28. Play go fish with a kid.
You don't crush kids. You talk their ear off, make an event out of it, tell them stories about when you were a kid this or in Vegas that. You have to play their game, too, even though they may have been playing only for weeks. Observe. Teach them without once offering a lesson. And don't be afraid to win. They can handle it.
29. Understand quantum physics well enough that he can accept that a quarter might, at some point, pass straight through the table when dropped.

I went to my hotel and drank it by myself, looking at the flickering city with my feet on the windowsill. I don't know which was more right, the wine or the vision that he placed in my head. Point is, it was right.

33. Hit a jump shot in pool. It's not something you use a lot, but when you hit a jump shot, it marks you as a player and briefly impresses women. Make the angle of your cue steeper, aim for the bottommost fraction of the ball, and drive the cue smoothly six inches past the contact point, making steady, downward contact with the felt.
34. Dress a wound. First, stop the bleeding. Apply pressure using a gauze pad. Stay with the pressure. If you can't stop the bleeding, forget the next step, just get to a hospital. Once the bleeding stops, clean the wound. Use water or saline solution; a little soap is good, too. If you can't get the wound clean, then forget the next step, just get to a hospital. Finally, dress the wound. For a laceration, push the edges together and apply a butterfly bandage. For avulsions, where the skin is punctured and pulled back like a trapdoor, push the skin back and use a butterfly. Slather the area in antibacterial ointment. Cover the wound with a gauze pad taped into place. Change that dressing every 12 hours, checking carefully for signs of infection. Better yet, get to a hospital.

35. Jump-start a car (without any drama). Change a flat tire (safely). Change the oil (once).
36. Make three different bets at a craps table. Play the smallest and most poorly labeled areas, the bets where it's visually evident the casino doesn't want you to go. Simply play the pass line; once the point is set, play full odds (this is the only really good bet on the table); and when you want a little more action, tell the crew you want to lay the 4 and the 10 for the minimum bet.

Step 3: Lay on the fuel wood. Pyramid, the log cabin, whatever -- the idea is to create some kind of structure so that plenty of air gets to the fire.

What followed was a fairly banal 15-minute conversation, which involved the collection of rent from a store. On and on, droning about store hours and lighting problems. 33. Hit a jump shot in pool. It's not something you use a lot, but when you hit a jump shot, it marks you as a player and briefly impresses women. Creating a good study environment takes a little planning. It is well worth the time as the end result will be much more productive study time. Many people fail to do this and wonder why they cannot concentrate. After a couple of times of studying the right way, most people will be surprised at how much they can actually enjoy studying. Read on to learn how to create a good study environment.

Here are 5 simple ways anyone can squeeze a bit more productivity out of the old gray matter.
1. Minimize Television Watching – This is a hard sell. People love vegetating in front of the television, myself included more often than I’d like. The problem is watching television doesn’t use your mental capacity OR allow it to recharge. It’s like having the energy sapped out of a muscle without the health benefits of exercise.
Don’t you feel drained after a couple hours of TV? Your eyes are sore and tired from being focused on the light box for so long. You don’t even have the energy to read a book.
When you feel like relaxing, try reading a book instead. If you’re too tired, listen to some music. When you’re with your friends or family, leave the tube off and have a conversation. All of these things use your mind more than television and allow you to relax.
2. Exercise – I used to think that I’d learn more by not exercising and using the time to read a book instead. But I realized that time spent exercising always leads to greater learning because it improves productivity during the time afterwards. Using your body clears your head and creates a wave of energy. Afterwards, you feel invigorated and can concentrate more easily.
3. Read Challenging Books – Many people like to read popular suspense fiction, but generally these books aren’t mentally stimulating. If you want to improve your thinking and writing ability you should read books that make you focus. Reading a classic novel can change your view of the world and will make you think in more precise, elegant English. Don’t be afraid to look up a word if you don’t know it, and don’t be afraid of dense passages. Take your time, re-read when necessary, and you’ll soon grow accustomed to the author’s style.
Once you get used to reading challenging books, I think you’ll find that you aren’t tempted to go back to page-turners. The challenge of learning new ideas is far more exciting than any tacky suspense-thriller.

If you stay up late and compensate by sleeping late, you’ll wake up lethargic and have trouble focusing. In my experience the early morning hours are the most tranquil and productive. Waking up early gives you more productive hours and maximizes your mental acuity all day.
If you have the opportunity, take 10-20 minute naps when you are hit with a wave of drowsiness. Anything longer will make you lethargic, but a short nap will refresh you.
5. Take Time to Reflect – Often our lives get so hectic that we become overwhelmed without even realizing it. It becomes difficult to concentrate because nagging thoughts keep interrupting. Spending some time alone in reflection gives you a chance organize your thoughts and prioritize your responsibilities. Afterwards, you’ll have a better understanding of what’s important and what isn’t. The unimportant stuff won’t bother you anymore and your mind will feel less encumbered.
I’m not saying you need to sit on the floor cross-legged and chant ‘ommm’. Anything that allows a bit of prolonged solitude will do. One of my personal favorites is taking a solitary walk. You should meditate twice a day for 20 minutes. 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes before the last meal. Meditation at these times gives most benefits.

Negative emotions disturb peaceful mind quicker than you think. Therefore you shouldn't let any negative thoughts settle in your mind. As soon as you notice a negative thought arising in you, eliminate it by placing a completely opposite thought instead.
3.Be alone
Being alone makes you rethink everything that is important to you. You start thinking for yourself and paying less attention to what those around you are saying. This is crucial for inner peace.
Being alone teaches you to rely on yourself and to make decisions that are best for you. This does not make you selfish, it just gets you focused on what you want in life.

If you don't learn to let go of anger, you will never achieve inner peace. You should forgive and let go no matter what happened to you.

* Don't let others rule your life, for that will make you sad and dull your mind.
* You can simplify arithmetic to do calculations quickly and easily in your head. Let us say that you need to add 433 and 433, well 33+33=66 and 4+4=8. So you'll come up with a total of 866.
* Learn to round off numbers while grocery shopping. Try not using a calculator. Although, one may shop on a budget. If something is .69 cents, simply round it off to .70 cents in your head. I always come close to the exact amount (dollar-wise) at the check out register. This works unless you totally avoid looking at your grocery list, which is not recommended.
* Drink plenty of water. Drinking little water every 30-40 minutes works well.
* Have a great time with wikiHow. It will aid in keeping a good sharp mind and a good positive attitude. Writing is like food for the brain.
* Make yourself a special mental note that being sharp is smart.
* Thinking positive is not only healthy, but it builds a stronger mind with that well adjusted attitude.
* Negative thinking never gets anything done; it is just setting yourself up to fail.
* Sleep is very important to keep a sharp mind and good attitude. But laying in bed tossing and tumbling isn't any fun. So do something to assure that you are tired enough to sleep well. A few hours of good sleep are better than those broken up hours of slumber.
* Try to keep your alcohol consumption to a minimum, and stay away from drugs because they suppress your mental clarity
* Try using your opposite hand to do everyday things, especially writing and printing. Sit down and start writing on a piece of paper using your off hand. It will probably start out like scrawl, but you will gain better control, become more aware of your tense shoulders and body, and able to use both sides of your brain. This exercise is also used for epileptic patients.
* Watch out for people that try to do your thinking for you. However, keep your mind open for good advice. When you have a sharp mind, you'll recognize good advice.
* Don't be a people pleaser, for the wrong kind of people will take advantage of you. If you stay sharp, chances are that won't happen to you.
* Practicing different strategies to keep your mind sharper is good, but such strategies should be used in a relaxed way. One should enjoy while doing it but should not do under any compulsion.

Routine life
Hello,
A routine is something that we do regularly, without questioning or planning. Once established, routines require little effort, tracking, or decision making; by definition they become a consistent part of our lives. Routines are ways of doing that don’t require much conscious “doing.” This is what makes routines such powerful levers for supporting behaviors, whether positive or negative.
Our routines can help us or impede us, increase our focus and effectiveness or increase our distractedness. The best routines include those positive distractions we’ve already discussed — meditation, mindfulness, stress breaks, and so on. Positive routines also include all the other things we can do to balance our lives: exercise to refresh our bodies, talking with those we love, reading, going on retreats. These are activities that refresh and energize.
Positive routines are built to exclude severe distractions — the overstimulation and overexertion, without respite or relief, that can lead to anxiety, sleeplessness, depression, and a real lack of focus.
Why is this? Why would the Dalai Lama answer “routines” as an essential element on the path toward happiness and meaning? In what way do routines reduce “drag” and “resistance” and create ease, meaning, and a deeper sense of accomplishment?
Several answers come to mind, which we will examine in more depth:
* We all have routines; why not create positive ones?
* Routines are the way of nature (and we are part of nature . . .).
* Routines connect us to something larger than ourselves.
* Paradoxically, through the structures provided by routines, we can develop flexibility because our minds are so much clearer and our bodies more refreshed.
* Routines can support personal growth and the transformation of old, unwanted patterns.
We All Have Routines, So Make Positive Ones
We all have routines, so why not have positive ones? Do you brush your teeth each morning and evening? Do you bathe or shower; prepare regular meals? Do you read or meditate every day, once a week, or not at all? Do you exercise three days a week, five days a week, or no days per week? Do you eat healthy or unhealthy food? Do you get up at the same time each morning, watch the same television shows, use many of the same phrases and expressions?
Since there is no avoiding routines, why not create routines that are supportive, healthy, and lead toward what you want to accomplish in your life. Routines are the ways in which we take care of ourselves. The three basic routines that I prescribe to nearly all of my coaching clients include the following:
Practice Meditation Daily
I often suggest that people spend fifteen to thirty minutes at the beginning of each day meditating — just sitting, just being alive, just being with their breath. This is a basic “sharpening the saw” activity, in which we are the saw. Meditation practice is a way to slow down, look deeply, and reveal ourselves to ourselves.
Exercise Three Days Per Week
Regular exercise is essential to maintaining our health and taking care of our bodies and minds. By exercise, I mean getting a good solid aerobic workout for at least thirty minutes — such as walking, running, or using an exercise machine at the gym. I recognize that not everyone can exercise in this way, but within your physical abilities, you can still make exercise part of your routine.
